Hannah has fun like a big wad of gum
Like a car that is racing or a frog jumping some
She simply expects to do something exciting
Like being a princess on her bike while she’s riding!
Or showing her mom all the words she is writing
Hannah has fun and swings at the park
She tries to keep playing till way after dark
She ducks, jumps and climbs on the big plastic slide
Then on to the horse with the saddle she’ll ride
She’s happy at home and she feels - just right!
Hannah has fun like a dog with a bone
Like old Mr. Rogers when he comes home
She might watch a show when she’s stuck in the house
Or play with her toys – and be quiet as a mouse
And always when mom says, “Hannah! Lights Out!”
Hannah’s a coo-coo and always acts crazy
She thinks she’s a clown or bird or a daisy
She has all her colors and likes to paint
She spins so fast that sometimes she faints
Or she runs to the couch before it’s too late
Hannah eats pretzels and carrots and jam
She even eats cherries right out of the can!
But there’s one special treat that she always enjoys
It’s a favorite for tummies of most girls and boys
It’s a blueberry pancake with syrup – “Oh Boy!”
Hannah is lucky she’s got a big porch
She runs all around it – goes back and forth
Her sister is Lucy and tried to catch up
She ran so fast but she couldn’t keep up.
Then she tripped on a toy and fell right on her butt!
Hannah and Lucy took a ride in their car
Mom did the driving and they went real far.
But Lucy got mad and was kicking their feet
She dropped all her crackers and spilled all of her treats
All over the floor and just too far to reach.
Hannah decided to make Lucy’s cry end.
It’s hard to believe what that Hannah did then?
She reached in her pocket and pulled out her horn.
She played Cajun music and played drums on the door
And Lucy just laughed and said, “More, More, More!”
Hannah’s so happy she has many friends
And lots of her cousins want to see her again.
Two Grandmas two Grandpas – a nice mom and dad
And a new baby sister will make her feel glad
June’s coming soon - Hannah’s very, very, very glad.
